Google is starting to talk more about their forthcoming video service. Google CEO Eric Schmidt was in Berlin today talking about how Google TV is going to change the world of television and the world wide web by merging the two together.

“Once you have Google television, you’re going to be very busy,” Schmidt said. “It’s going to ruin your evening.”

Google TV is a video interface that will be available on Sony TVs, Sony BluRay players and Logitech set top boxes starting this fall.  Couch potatoes will be able to easily search through TV listings and  will be able to download online video from the web.  The Logitech set top box will be called the Logitech Revue.  How much with the Logitech Revue cost?  Pricing is not yet available but we will be sure to update this blog post as soon as the Logitech Revue price is announced.

Google indicated they do not want to be in the content business so partnerships with TV networks and movie studios should start to roll in soon. Google also will not be charging a subscription fee.  Ultimately, Google just wants another place to sell advertising and as they make the world a more searchable place. Stay tuned…
