At Rewatchable, we are incredibly focused (pun intended) on video production for corporate websites, social media and email marketing. There’s a whole slew of video production companies in the Boston area that do not necessarily focus on video production for the web but instead have a wide range of wonderful offerings. Many of them are great video production companies with incredible equipment, big staffs and bigger overhead. Some are sole proprietors trying to make a living as they follow their passion for video. Now, I’m going to say something I’m not “supposed to” say. I’m sure most of our competitors deliver terrific videos to their customers. Sometimes, we get asked “who are your competitors?” and we are happy are to answer because we truly believe there is not a single competitor focused on web video for corporate clients. Customers are surprised when we freely offer a list of video production companies that might be able to serve there needs. I’m sure our competitors will be even more surprised when they see we are including them in a list of Boston Video Production companies on our website.

According to their website, Boston Video Services specializes in “documentaries, educational film, music video, and corporate/promotional multimedia.” They are located on Cape Cod in Chatham MA. They can be reached by phone at 508-430-2866. Their video sample pages includes an impressive array of documentaries and stock video footage. Chatham is about 90 miles southeast of Boston, MA.

According to their website, DIGINOVATIONS offers a complete suite of video and multimedia production services including “Technology Marketing and Education, Fundraising Video Campaigns, Admission and Recruitment, Corporate and Institutional Image Knowledge, Sharing and Training.” Their staff has nine Emmy awards to their credit, and more than two dozen additional nominations. Wow! DIGINOVATIONS is based in Concord, MA and can be reached at (978) 371-3370. Their “view our work” page shows some highly produced video that really looks great. Concord, MA is about 25 miles west of Boston, MA.

According to their website, Boston Digital Editing is a video production company that was founded in 1997 and has “created award-winning videos for marketing, sales, promotion, training, fundraising, documentaries, advertising and broadcast television.” They are based in downtown Boston, MA and can be reached by phone at 617.338.7777. Their “our work” page shows video from an impressive list of clients including the Department of Defense, Iron Mountain AAA. Their videos range from tv commercials to corporate video and are all high quality.

Their website shows off lots of video productions and notes their capabilities including corporate video production, email marketing videos and non-profit videos. The video service does not list pricing but says they are “Creative, Cost Effective and Results Driven” They are located in Concord, MA and can be reached at 928.451.4100.

The company offers sample videos on their website but does not seem to indicate video production pricing. The wedding video on their main page is absolutely beautiful. It looks like the company is new to the Boston market and was established in the summer of 2011. We were not able to find pricing on any of the video production websites for both video shoots and video editing. (video editing pricing was listed on the Gifford Productions site) As far as we know Rewatchable is the only company in the Boston area that actually lists complete pricing on our website. Our pricing is a flat fee of $2,500 (currently) for a 90 second email marketing video, web site video, social media video or customer testimonial video.
We hope you choose Rewatchable for your video production but even if you choose one of our competitors we will still be happy. Really! We truly believe in the power of video and know as more corporate websites see the benefits of using web video there will be more demand for our video production services.

Interesting and bold idea. As a tech marketer, I’m very interested, how did that play out for you? Has it generated business? Did it build some creditability? Was it a disaster? Have you studied the page metrics to see if this page has a particularly high bounce rate?
One tip, and I hesitate to offer it because you seem to have a plan: I’d recommend making the links to your competitors sites launch in a new tab (target=”_blank”) so that when a visitor checks out a competitor, they still have your site available in the original tab.
I’d love to hear how this has gone and the thinking behind it if you have the time.

Your mentor had a great suggestion. Almost all of the voice talent we work with sent us an email message with a link to an online portfolio. Some tips to get more work? Have a good home studio, do your own filtering / breath control / etc. and offer very easy to understand, up-front pricing. The easier you are to work with, the more likely a video production company is to turn to you in a pinch.
