Some videos are not intended to be viewed by wide audiences and instead need to be hosted privately. Many video sharing services allow for private viewing but we thought some of our viewers might be interested in a “social video system” now being offered to enterprise customers from Cisco. The Cisco Show and Share service allows enterprise users to record their own videos via their desktop camera and edit out parts they don’t want included. The video sharing service also allows users to add transitions, transcribe videos and ask for comments from other users via a private portal.
Cisco gets the fact that video is one of the world’s most powerful communication tools. We look forward to seeing how more and more businesses will start to use video for internal communications as well as external communications.
