Boston Corporate Video – Video SEO Test
At Rewatchable, we produce stunning corporate videos for business customers in the Boston area. We also help our customers get found in Google by helping them with Video Search Engine Optimization.
Of course, we also rely on Google to help us get found by new customers. We do pretty well in Google getting found for our own SEO terms like Boston video production, Massachusetts video production, customer testimonial video and other terms. However, as a Boston corporate video production company we have been frustrated that Google has been placing us on the 2nd page of results for the term “Boston Corporate Video” and “Boston Corporate Videos.”
Will adding a video to YouTube entitled “Boston Corporate Video” help us get found in Google? Well, that is just what we have done so we’ll see with time. We used YouTube’s video editing tool to quickly (5 minutes) put together a video reel from videos we already have placed up on YouTube. Next, we titled the video “Boston Corporate Video” and added the term “Boston Corporate Video” to the tags on the YouTube page . This will help in a couple of ways. First, YouTube should start adding other videos related to “Boston Corporate Video” to the sidebar and make it more likely for our video to show up when viewers are watching other videos related to Boston corporate videos. Also, when the Google spider scrapes the YouTube page it should find all sorts of references to Boston corporate video and will potentially add the video thumbnail to the Google search results for the term “Boston Corporate Video.” (example below)
Even if Google does not provide the video thumbnail, it might list the YouTube page which should still get some traffic back to our website by providing a link on the YouTube page back to rewatchable.com. (example below)
The final step is to embed the video on pages that talk about Boston corporate videos. This will be one more piece of information for Google to let them know that the video is in fact related to Boston corporate videos. Plus, Google will likely draw the conclusion that pages like this one are related to Boston Corporate video because it has a video embedded in it that is about Boston corporate video.
